At the airport, you will find many taxi drivers who know all the hotels. Otherwise, once you reach the downtown area – 1.5 km – go to the level crossing and turn left. Then make a right turn at the second road. The hotel is on your right after 150 meters.

Taxis / Cabs:

You have to seat next to the driver. Don't be surprised, none of those cabs has a machine that count the price. Average cost: 700 Cfa (1.10 Euro). From the airport: 1500 Cfa. During your stay, the price for one hour is 3000 Cfa, this avoid you to pay an extra each time you stop.

Water and electricity:

Why make it a secret? In Pointe Noire problems with power are permanent and a part of daily life. Power outages can last from a few hours to a few days or more. And if there is no electricity, there is no water. At Le Guest House, we are pleased to offer uninterrupted access to water and power with our 2 well and power generators.

Payments:

Payments are made in CFA Francs (100 CFA = 0,15 €), or check. Credit cards accepted are Visa, Master Card and American Express. With a Visa or Master Card credit card, you can also withdraw some CFA Francs at several ATM's.

The Restaurant

Our restaurant is reserved to the customers of the hotel and their guests. All prices are all tax included. Mostly European cuisine with lots of fish (Sole, Gambas, Bar, Langouste) with also meat, pastas, etc…

Lunch and Dinner: 13.0000 Frs CFA tax included.

For local cuisine, we'd rather give you the address of specialized restaurants.

"Buffet" breakfast: 5000 Frs CFA (7.62 euros).

Geographic and human aspect:

Area of the country: 342.000 Km2.
Population: 3 millions inhabitants.
Administrative capital of city: Brazzaville.

Situation: Congo is located in Central Africa. Boarded in North by the RCA, in South by Angola, in the Eastern part by the DRC and by Cameroon, and Gabon in the West.
Terrain: The terrain of Congo is composed of the coastal belt, the Congolese cuvette, and the Niari valley, hills and plateaus, mountains of medium altitude (Mayombe, Chaillu massif), the highest peak being the Nademba mountain (1,000m).

Formalities:

Valid passeport is asked for people living in Central Africa ; whereas an entrance visa for the other required. For more information, you can meet officers of Congo Diplomatic Consulat in your country.

• Customs: you may freely carer with your photo camera, music aparatens. License is required for hunting.
• Electricity: 220 V, using European measures.
• Health: International certificate of Vaccination is required.

Touristic information:

The main local travel connect daily all the important cities and localities of the country: Tac, Aéro Service. CFCO, rail company connects Brazaville to Pointe Noire through Madingou, Nkayi and Dolisie.Taxis: pointed in green and white in Brazaville, blue and white in Pointe Noire.Public buses can also be taken with 150 F CFA for fees.

What you have to know: There are no travel restrictions and tourists are allowed to travel anywhere. Photographs can also be taken anywhere, except in places of military or strategic importance. As a matter of courtesy, it is recommended to ask people’s permission before taking their picture.
